I have this engine on two planes. Fine selection you've made.
For after run oil, if I won't be flying my planes for a while I drop a half dozen drops of 3-in-1 oil in the carb and turn the prop a few times to work it back into the crank case and the piston by tipping the plane up and back. Otherwise, between trips to the field, the residue left behind in the engine by the cool power I run from a day's running seems to be fine. I fly at least once a week at this point. Everyone has some different opinions on this. This has worked for me.
If you have someone at the field to help you tune it, this would help. Some basic rules to follow once it's broken in regarding the low speed needle to get it to idle but not load up and the high end needle to run it just rich enough - ton of posts on this board regarding this. As E-Mo stated, follow the break-in procedure in the manual. The prop specified is to give the proper 'prop-load' while breaking in. Don't have to fly with this prop though if you don't want.
