Each plane has a 30 ft. streamer attached to the back of the plane. You score points by "cutting" the other streamers. A combat heat lasts 5 minutes at which time the score for that round is recorded. 20 points for launching on time, 20 points if you fly the whole heat, 100 points for each cut, and 4 points for each foot of original streamer you have left. There are many different classes which all have different rules regarding the aircraft.

Of course you can also just get a bunch of club members to attach streamers and have fun. We do that at our club almost every week.
