Ok Dave, if they are already partially installed, all you need to do is smear a little vaseline on the pin area, and then smear a THIN coat of epoxy on the hinge (You don't need much on the surface but make sure you get it in the holes) if you can work a little into the slot (In the wood) that's a bonus.

Put the surface on and wipe off the excess epoxy with alcohol
