When I first got back into the hobby about five years ago, I went through a phase where I was spending probably $150 a month average on hobby gear of varying description. As long as the bills were paid and I was putting money in the bank, anything left over was fair game. This lasted for almost two years. Then I got married and bought a house.[&:] Since then, my spending has been a bit more reasonable, but I do still make the occasional impulse buy. When you've filled the memory slots on two computer radios and have no more room left in the basement to store more planes, the temptation to buy more is easier to resist...
