Default RE: Air Hobbies Sachs Dolmar 3.2

I think RCU has limited the search function. It does not work to well anymore.
The engine is based on a Sachs Dolmar (now Makita Dolmar) chainsaw/cutoff saw, engine piston and cylinder, which are very good quality. Brison, Fox, FPE, and others all use the same components. I can't say about the crankshafts, though there have been builders in the past that just could not get them right. I have read of problems with ignition systems on the motors, but don't remember exactly what the problems were. Get a good muffler for a 3.2, don't use soft mounts, and you should have a good engine. Will turn props in the 20x10, 22x8, 22x10 range.
