Sounds like you guys are gonna have some fun! The sprints should do just fine as long as youre not looking for top speed. It does seem a bit small but should make for some fun bumping action! Since its a basement it might be a bit cool down there so you might want to go with a Racing Slick Belted Tire 24mm (20R) HPI part #4750. After a few laps this tire should start to grip on the concrete and give decent traction.

Might be a little extreme and too much work but have you thought of carpeting the floor? Everyone can chip in and if its left over carpet from a carpet store it could be dirt cheap. A very low carpet will give you killer grip and you can even roll it out when its time to race and roll it back up when its not in use. Might be a bit too much work but its just a thought.

yes we have considered carpet in the basement......we are currently considering trying a foam tire on the cement first then goign from there. thanks for the help....why cant i talk about basement racing?
