RE: What amps are cause for concern?
Hi
Ordered an Eagle Tree logger and should be in South Africa during the week care of US postal sevice. Will install in both my Berylls and see the comparison. One has a C50 13 XL and the latest C50 14 XL. The 14 XL only has 5 flights on so doubt if it could be the rotor. On all 5 flights the high amps appears to be round 7 minutes into the flight. The concern as rightly pointed out is that it could happen more often as the Spin 99 only records the highest amps. We had our provincial comp over the week-end in winds gusting right on the limit. (42 km/h). Recorded 81 amp draw, but after 9 minute schedule on replaced 3300 amps back into TP 5300 pack that already has 90 cycles. Low voltage was recorded as 34 volts and temp of controller as 35 degrees celcuis. The average amps were at 48 amps. Could be only one manoevre but rather be safe than sorry. I will post results from Eagle Tree and would appreciatre some feed back. Might be that I also just have to alter style of flying.
Regards
Burt
