Congrats! I can't wait till my first solo. This being Father's Day weekend, I've had kind of a mixed bag of emotions. Bought my first glow plane (Sig Kadet LT-40). Drove up to my daughter and son-in-law's place to assemble. We got it finished late Saturday...then the rain started! It's now Sunday morning and pouring down rain!

On the positive side, I had a blast spending the weekend with my son-in-law learning how to assemble an ARF. On the bad side, I REALLY hoped to put this bad boy in the air this weekend! Oh well, I've learned a lot this weekend and hopefully I can get with my instructor next weekend (he seems to be working a lot on the weekends lately [:@])

I know how you felt.

I just got a new engine from the LHS for my F-22 and put it in Saturday night, just to wake up to a rainy day on Sunday.

I was lucky though, i was able to sneak in one flight on my LT-40 and my maiden flight on my F-22 before the rains started up again.

You will enjoy the LT-40, it is really sturdy, as I have had more than one "not so nice" landings and all I have had to do it batch a couple tears in the covering.
