if you ever plan to compete, there always more electric classes than nitro...

also, I have both Electric and Nitro... both are fun and drift (love that rubber & nitro smell) but in my case as soon an the initial excitement of high speed drifts wears off Im back to slow speed tight drifts...

one last thing to consider, alot of electric drivers you will see run really slow motors...I use a 27turn. With a nitro you will always be trying to keep throttle under 25% trying to find that sweet spot, in an electric with the right motor you can easily set full throttle to your sweetspot and keep your finger all the way on the trigger...
