I am looking to buy a new HPI on road car, so should I go with Nitro or Electric?
For the Nitro I am looking at the:
~RTR Nitro RS4 3 Evo
~Nitro RS4 3 Evo+
And For Electric:
~RTR Sprint 2 Drift
~RTR Sprint 2
Here are the things I want them to do:
~I don't want to spend way to much money...
~Speed
~Extras (Wings, Body Kits, etc. to be available)
Thanks!

Electric for me. We usually drift really late at night in empty parking lots. If we were running loud obnoxiouus nitro's we'd get kicked out so quick. But since we run electric, the security has no problem with us using the parking lot.
We also like running at night becuase we can show off our lights on our cars.

i think thats close DANDthekid, i live around 120th and Sheridan. when you get your car maybe we could have some drift cmpetition. lol. For the car, i think electric is easier to drift because you can control it easier...

If you're just looking for a fun on road car, it just depends on what you wann do. If you're looking to drift, use electric. Speed isn't a factor for 2 reasons:
1) You don't have a lot of speed when drifting
2) Electric cars can be just as fast if not faster than nitro.
The only reason I would get Nitro, if I were you, is if you just like working on Nitro or like the sound or smell or something. Car for car, nitro has no advantages over electric in the drift scene. It's actually at quite a DISadvantage.

i am drifting with nitro. not saying nitro is better but trying to give you both sides.
i like nitro, yes electric is cleaner, and can drift inside.
but nitro has just as many positives. you dont have to charge batt's, the sound, the smell, the looks, plus alot of ppl use electric. and if you have nitro ppl are more intrested in your car, the only bad thing about nitro is that you cant hold high rpm's but once you get used to it you will be fine. i just got a all aluminum RS4 with a traxxas 3.3, im in CO to so maybe we could all get together, and ill let you drive my nitro and maybe tc4 will let you drive his electric. and then you can decide, and make a better choice.
ill come out there one day with a few of my buddies and we can have a drift comp. i have 3 cars now so you can use one of mine till you get one of your own.

Take it from me, I have Owned the Nitro RS4 EVO3 and go rid of it after a week, Bought the Sprint 2 with the left over change and have had nothing but pure fun with it.. no mess, no fuss and no Cost to run after initial purchase !
I would look at the Hot Bodies Cyclone S RTR.. Not a Bad price and a Better car then the sprint 2..
First Rule of RC Drift : Never Buy anything with the Word "Drift" or "Drift action" Most of the time it is Marketing Hype..

if you ever plan to compete, there always more electric classes than nitro...
also, I have both Electric and Nitro... both are fun and drift (love that rubber & nitro smell) but in my case as soon an the initial excitement of high speed drifts wears off Im back to slow speed tight drifts...
one last thing to consider, alot of electric drivers you will see run really slow motors...I use a 27turn. With a nitro you will always be trying to keep throttle under 25% trying to find that sweet spot, in an electric with the right motor you can easily set full throttle to your sweetspot and keep your finger all the way on the trigger...

With Electric you can go full throttle and not worry about the piston sleeve ejecting out through the head !
Hold the electric at full tilt all day and when things get Hot, the ESC kicks in and makes you chill out..

] sure the drift tyres suck but they come with some good extras too
