well ive heard and seen people do loops without being in idle up, but after hearing of a few people looping into the ground i flicked idle up as soon as i took off. I like flying in idle up, i feel the control is more precise having fixed headspeed, and its a lot easier to land from say 75 feet in idle up as you maintain control with more headspeed and just reduce pitch, on a windy day this is a bit of a challenge.
