I have seen a few motorcycle engines with the head fins drilled with many small holes. If done in a pattern it really looks neat. Also a shot blasted finish painted flat black with the ends of the fins polished to a silver look or painted red looks neat. Custom RC engines....a new..... enterprize??? Captin- over & out!! P.S.
