Helicool: Can you post more photos of your engine....from a few different views? I think some folks would like to make a copy of there own....me included. Nice looking work you do on engines. You must like engines!!!!

Default Thanks there Cappin!!!

I have gotten sucked into playing around with these little engines. A whole lot cheaper than muscle cars or race bikes.
I got a few more pics I can post. I polished the head and everything I could get to with the dremel and some good old Mothers Aluminum Polish. I still have to cut the rear shaft and make my test stand out of a cutting board. I should be able to test run her tommorow or the next day. Im hoping one of the guys at the field has their tach with them.

Default Some thoughts

I am contemplating trimming some fins on the jug too but I know once I get started I wont be finished with it for days. I usually start with a high speed cutter and then move to the course drum and then the fine sanding drum. I use the abrasive buff(the one that looks like a hair donut) then use the felt with some mothers and it will come out like chrome. Can you believe I did a whole volkwagon engine like that!!!!:spinnyeye

Default Heres the final

Here is the final before the test run.
I plan on testing it either later today or tommorow.
I mounted everything on a farberware cutting board
that I got at WalMart for $2.00. I am going to bring this to
the field and screw it down to the engine test stand/table with some wood screws and I will be ready to roll.

Default cooling Fins

I have seen a few motorcycle engines with the head fins drilled with many small holes. If done in a pattern it really looks neat. Also a shot blasted finish painted flat black with the ends of the fins polished to a silver look or painted red looks neat. Custom RC engines....a new..... enterprize??? Captin- over & out!! P.S. Helicool, your engine really looks good.

What, you don't think you could do it with a PBF? I'm tempted to do it, just cause I'm always wanting to do the impossable!

Herb, you are indeed "crazy herb"!!! I still want a giant wing, but just can't get the time (or 2" foam).

Did you ever see my XXXXXL PBF? It was 56" and powered by a OS 50SX, just a HUGE glider! Dog ate that one.

If I can get a Ryobi, I'll do it.
