Actualy if you charge the reciever packs with the wall charger they hardly build up any heat at all. if you want to use a rapid charger follow the instructions that come with the pack and the heat is very minumal. if no instructions came with your pack normaly just set the charger for .5 to 1.0 amp and you should be fine.
