With the low prices of ARF trainers these days you really ought to take these guys good advice and learn on a trainer. Trying to learn on an aerobatic plane is a sure recipe for disaster. You'll break that plane and you'll have to buy a trainer anyway.

Look around and you can find ARF trainers for under $100, sometimes even under $50. Ask around a club and there's always some one with a spare trainer to sell for even cheaper. Heck, if you were local I've got one for sale for $40. After you've beat the trainer to a pulp you'll have a nice aerobatic plane to move up to, it won't be wasted.

Your helicopter experience will help but you still need the trainer. It'll save you lots of money and headaches in the long run.
