RE: The Australian thread
Clovus,
The MPXT is a funny plane to land - perhaps that is why your new one seems to easy - the MPXT:
- holds its airspeed.
- does have a predictable but solid and large stall.
- really flies moderately quickly when its size is taken into account.
I'm still getting used to landing her. You really need to sort your speed and altitude out on base before you turn for final, otherwise this hurtling chunk of balsa/ply arrives at the strip before you know it.
Dave - the MPXT might be a reasonable third plane but just echoing what Clovus said balsa takes quite a bit of effort to repair and get straight. So work on error free flights (or at least making your errors high enough that you can recover).
Cheers,
oz.
