Dont know if its the same as racing cars but i guess it is, heat is the enemy of magnets and is eventually the down fall of an electric motor. Not sure if you can get em that hot to kill em in one go but it wont help, you can get magnet zappers to re do the magnets but probably cheaper to just get a new motor.
