The Saito would be perfect for the Texan, & they are not thirsty, I have flown one on a Tucano, use the recomended prop for running in, I think it is a 13x8 or a 14x6, run it in as per instructions, Beautiful engine.
Also there would be no need to fly at full throttle, so you should have plenty of flight time.
