RE: Second Plane Suggestions
Have a Multiplex Minimag myself after a Hobbyzone Super Cub wich I started with, think it's a great plane, the reviews say it's harder wearing and better than most of the opposition. The other week the cheap the motor I'd put in cut (not a Multiplex one) and I didn't have any choice but to put it into a slatted fence as I'd run out of field to land on. From he speed and noise thought I'd totalled the plane, picked it up the front had been slughtly pushed in and the motor mount had popped out the front just needed glueing back in. I've now upped the aileron throws and moved the COG back a little and role rates are much better getting me ready for the next move up. I'm so impressed with the Minmag for build quality etc I'm about to upgrade to either a Multiplex Gemini or an Acromaster. The other thing I read which I wish I'd know before glueing the engine back in is with Elapor either put a hair dryer of boiling water on it and it'll go back to it's original shape. Really would reccomend one and you'd probably find the Magister is similar build quality if you wanted the bigger plane.
By the way it was an instructor at a club that recomended it to me in the 1st place.
