Hey all I am still very new to the hobby. On the suggestion of the LHS I bought a Sky Fly for my first plane and it has been fun to fly I have certainly caused it alot of damage but I am starting to get to the point that the lack of control frustrates me and seems to cause some crashes when trying to land.
I have been researching these planes:
ParkFlyers Cessna 182 4ch -- LHS suggested that it would be a great second plane that would be inexpensive to repair in the inevitable crashes.
Cessna EP400 -- Saw it on Ebay which makes me hesitant
Multiplex Magister -- The review was really good on this one and it seems like it would be upgradeable.
All of these are 4 ch planes and I was just curious which would be the best for a first time using 4 channels or if there were better ones out there that I wasn't aware of?
Thanks in advance for any help and opinions.
Jim

Hobbico makes a Flyzone Cessna 182 4-channel that sells for around $160 or so. It comes with a 72Mhz radio system and the transmitter has a buddy box connector on the back so you can use it with a flight instructor or with a computer flight simulator.

In that size range, you might try a kadet ep-42 as well. It flies very well, is Very hard to do damage in your average crash(and easy to fix), but is built just like a standard kadet.

Have a Multiplex Minimag myself after a Hobbyzone Super Cub wich I started with, think it's a great plane, the reviews say it's harder wearing and better than most of the opposition. The other week the cheap the motor I'd put in cut (not a Multiplex one) and I didn't have any choice but to put it into a slatted fence as I'd run out of field to land on. From he speed and noise thought I'd totalled the plane, picked it up the front had been slughtly pushed in and the motor mount had popped out the front just needed glueing back in. I've now upped the aileron throws and moved the COG back a little and role rates are much better getting me ready for the next move up. I'm so impressed with the Minmag for build quality etc I'm about to upgrade to either a Multiplex Gemini or an Acromaster. The other thing I read which I wish I'd know before glueing the engine back in is with Elapor either put a hair dryer of boiling water on it and it'll go back to it's original shape. Really would reccomend one and you'd probably find the Magister is similar build quality if you wanted the bigger plane.
By the way it was an instructor at a club that recomended it to me in the 1st place.

hmmm so there really isn't much consensus on what would be a good one
so would it be better to go with the bigger planes or stick with a park flyer sized plane? Thanks for all the responses I do appreciate the input [8D]

mostly in this really large field behind an elementary school near the house about 2 football fields large with a couple of obstacles like soccer goals and basketball court on the outskirts ... looking to go electric would like to stay under 220 or so. So the minimag would seem like the best fit from what I have seen.
