Default fuel tank installation problem

Hey Guys,

I just about got this H9 Solo Sport almost done and went to install the tank....well now I think I have a problem. Does the center line of the tank need to be on the center line of the engine? H9 doesn't sell the tank that was designed for this plane anymore so they give you another one where the center line is about 1" below the center line of the engine and doesn't even come close to coming through the firewall at all! I thought I read some thing about this being important, am I right or not?

I've looked for another after market tank but so far the only one that will work is my old Alpha 40 tank which I have to tilt up (45 degrees more or less) at the front to get the stopper and tubes to come through the firewall, the other two tanks I've got don't even come close but do fit nicely. H9 said they couldn't help me and since I've got this plane almost done I can't send it back, they also said no one else has complained.

My tank needs to have the fuel lines set more to the top of the tank then in the center to pass through the firewall, it's a 12 oz rectangle tank but an oval one would work great too. Any help would be great, I'm grounded till then....[:@]
