Default RE: WILL AN ELECTRIC STARTER START A GAS ENGINE?

ORIGINAL: soarrich

I have a Miller 24v started, it's tough to use, makes starting a two man job. Since I switched to EI I don't need a starter I hand flip everything. My buddy's been flying Ryobi's for 10 years , he nearly fainted when I one flipped my Ryobi to life.
This is the IE I'm using:

I've converted 3 Ryobi's, Brison(sp?), and a Sachs they all run and start great. I've got a 100cc Quadra and a Fuji64a I'm going to convert next.
Yep starting a big engine is a two man job. I use the starter on my EI motors. Its just easier and safer
