OUCH - that sucks man! There have been quite a few guys talking about needle valve troubles with the Tower motor on this thread already...
I really haven't seen that many...
I've had VERY good luck with the T.H. and GMS engines. I have close to a dozen of them now.
I'll trade an Evolution for a T.H. of the same size any day. ( of course I'll trade either for an O.S. too! )
The aforementioned problem with the remote valve support breaking is a bit unusual. Normally there is not much force on the assembly, though I could imaging that vibration may played apart in this...
I haven't seen it myself, and it does take a bit of force to bend the metal bracket.
Then again I've also have had O.S. remote needle supports crack right at the bolt area as the metal used on a few engines is a bit to brittle.
