Default RE: Gas Engine?

ORIGINAL: nitro wing

Do search, quite a few people have strapped on the 26 and bigger,I believe that the outcome was that the plane was not powered enough and starts getting heavy. The Giles is a real good flier, but one must keep all excess weight off,or it becomes a pattern missile. It depends on your style. If you like a quick pattern type,it may work, but dont expect this one to float around or 3D well.Overall it flies great with an engine that balances.I had an OS 160 on mine, lots of excess brute power(under 12 pounds),but in my opinion was a bit heavy for CG and wingloading. There are a few that did the 26cc gas that will be able to tell the exact expectations from this set up.
Was that the O.S. 160 twin?
The Saito 150 weight is 30oz w/o muffler, and 1.5 cubic (25cc) the one I'm looking at is 37.5oz 1.6 cubic in (26cc). I sure like the idea of how clean the gas engines run.
