From what I have experienced, three 5955s are perfect on pull-pull and two work well if you place them in the tail on push-pull. Two is not quite enough on pull-pull.
You'll love the plane, it really flies great, even after you doink it (ask me how I know)

This seems to be the norm to have to add a servo if you are using pull/pull. That was the deciding facctor for me putting them in the tail.
