I've used an Aurora 300DF brushless motor for 2 years now. This motor has been on 3 different slowsticks. I upgraded to the cobri 30 aluminum gearbox after breaking 2 of the plastic ones. I just got the 400DF motor for more power. The best place to get these motors and assesories is at
www.sureflite.com.
This slowstick currently it outfitted with a video camera, drop mechanism (for parachute guys), red/green/white navigational LEDs (thats the purple tape on the leading edge), and custom tail feathers (made out of 2mm coroplast). Flies great; hovers, vertical performance, 1hr flights on 3cell1300mAh battery.
1 Hour!!?!!? On that 3s 1300mah??? Wow, I only get at most about 20+ minutes out of my BP-21 w/ GWS 8x4.3 and 3s 1320 (150 watts) on my Slo-V (17 oz. rtf) , unless I'm missing something?? Do you thermal also, or actually fly with power on the entire time? Cool! Your motor may be more efficient than the BP-21 I guess.
