Here's the deal. I Don't want to use an engine with stand offs. There's gas out there without. Any recommendations? One guy on here flies his with a Saito 1.80. 30oz engine with muffler. For this specific plane.. due to it being built so light.. It seems like you could really go either way. IF you have enough money to buy a high end gas engine. They're the only ones that have a good power to weight ratio. 3lbs with ignition and muffler. As for me.. I only fly any given plane about 3 to 4 times every weekend. Gallon of gas would maybe last me 3 weekends. I don't drink or smoke. So I can subsidize. I guess I'm leaning towards glow due to the weight of this Cap. I got the plane for 264.99 after the 30 dollars off and free shipping due to super savers member. That's not mentioning the 20 dollar gift certificate towards anything from tower. The only thing I really want to sink the money into is servos. I'm either going with the new JR8711's or Hitec HS 5955. And I might use some different hardware on some select items for weight. I want to stay right at 12lbs. I have a Jacio 5.1 perfect harness switch/regulator and a Duralite regulator. Will either one of those suffice? What do you think about this little device? Click on the link and scroll down a bit. Or let me know if there's anything that's already out there.. Similar that will do a better job. Or is it even required? As a security device/onboard glow?
