You'll be able to tell when they start to wear when you will have to start retrimming the ailerons from flight to flight. I got about half a season out of mine, but I tend to fly quite a bit, at least I was then. They do work great though, and changing the gears isnt that hard. Expensive since you have to change the metal gear, but really not that hard to do.
