Yes, excess down thrust is gone.

At this point I'm thinking about wing adjusters until I figure out where I want things to be, but will double-check the thrust angle before making any changes.

I am really rusty after 3 days of flying before losing my plane at Nats last year. It is taking some time getting used to it and flying in general.
Your symptom statement is a bit confusing. You say you need a lot of elevator to fly level. Are you holding elevator or trimming it in? Up or down? You can't test vertical up, vertical down, and knife edge until you have the plane perfectly trimmed for hand off straight and level, and that means hands off the sticks for the full length of the box. Once you have that, you can get some useful analysis of what happens in the other attitudes.

So 'a ton' of elevator mix doesn't really appear to be that much when looking at the control surface. It was a lot of clicks due to the high res linkage but maybe only a few degrees of throw. I played with the CG and moving it back didn't really change that but it did feel a little nicer. Thrust line appears to be just right. I'm starting to have some better flight segments. I'll triple check things with the meters before making any changes to the wing incidence but it seems like it needs a slight adjustment to be just right. Probably won't happen before the D4 warmup but we'll see.

Do you have a broken one that can be repaired or missing one entirely?

Thanks for the reply. This a plane that I rarely fly and has a YS in it. These days getting a new header is impossible so Was thinking to convert it to electric so if there was a belly pan without all the cut outs could bed nice.

If you don't find one I would be happy to fix the one you have.
