Thankyou for your reply. I have found that the 22nf caps I had purchased was labled wrong. They were in fact 2nf.
I changed the cap for 22nf and now have 4.5v measured with a cro.
I have 275v output on the small board to the ht coil as measured with a multimeter, but no sparks.
Also the older board has the same problem. This I checked with the same ht coil so I think I will wind another ht coil and see how that works. Again thankyou.
