You know what I really want to do? make a crankcase and crank for a 4 cyl. inline, then use 4 18-32cc cylinders and have this ready for a 1/4 scale project like a P-51. Even 4 18cc Featherlites in series should make a good start.
Yeah, cool idea. Make a crankshaft with sealed bearings in between each cylinder to keep the crank volume separate. That way you can run a carb on each cylinder and have full vacuum for the intake mixture.
