A friend of mine now have this engine, it has just a few initial flighs, it is mounted in an Evolution Pattern plane, looks like it has a lot of power to realese but I think that it needs more time to breake in, cosmetics are fine, muffler is kind of big but the engine is big as well, I think that the muffler looks more like a 40 size two stroker muffler, as for performance a can not tell much because it is still in the breaking in process (Two dead sticks on sunday) but I do believe that is a very powerful engine, I will keep posting as I'll be able to learn more about this one.
Happy Flying.

Alfred,
This may be just my opinion, but please do your friend a favour and suggest he break in the engine properly on a test stand. If he has already had two dead sticks, something is amiss - and I hope they are not from running too lean, or trying to get every bit of power too soon. I have seen too many excellent engines get mistreated this way and it hurts to see.

A properly run in engine will perform they way it was intended to and is well worth the time and effort, rather than trying to fly it immediately upon taking it out of the box.

Just my two Canadian cents!

AJC
I will.
Andrew: What is exactly the function of the crankcase breather connected to the carburetor assembly as it comes from factory? I noted that my friend connected the cranckcase breather to the tank using a check valve.
Thanks for helping.
Alfred
