RE: Bit of a Problem!!
Ok Ben, sounds like you need to adjust the servo links to achieve level hovoring first. If you take off the front canopy and look at both servos. turn on the TX then plug in the heli and let it arm....make sure the throttle is all the way down! After you get your arming sequence done (solid green light) Make sure all your trim sliders are centered and the throttle trim all the way down. Move the right stick forwards and backwards. Note which servo moves and the direction of the servo. Then move the right stick to the left and right and notice direction of servo arm movement on the other servo. Now you know what servo controls which direction. Using that as a starting point, adjust the forward/back servo link first by removing the little ball link from the swashplate ball. If you want the heli to lift off more level....... turn the ball link in one full turn, reattach and test for liftoff. If the heli still continues to lift off backwards try turning the servo link in by one half turn and retest. Continue until you achieve a level flight.............liftoff will always be a little shakey but once its in the air it should give you a good idea of which way its drifting.
Same concept for the left right movement too...... lift off....adjust.....retry until level hovoring is achieved. By the way.....forward back movement is Elevator and left right is Aileron.
Tail drift requires some time and should be done with a fresh battery. Hovor for about a minute and let the battery settle in then set it down and look at the 2 little potentiometers on the side of the 4 in 1 ( the little white dealies ya turn with a screwdriver) The one towards the front of the heli is the gain pot and the one towards the rear is the Proportional pot. You need to adjust the porportional pot to cancel out that tail drift to the left. You stated you had a left rotational drift in the tail so you need to make a small counterclockwise adjustment on the proportional pot. after making adjustments to the pot, you have to unhook the battery and then hook it up again and let it rearm. Keep making small adjustments until the drift is pretty much gone (mine still gets a little towards the end of the battery).Someone correct me if I am wrong on pot direction I don't have a manual handy at the moment. Let us know how you makew out Ben and ask any questions you need to.......... We are all here to help if we can!
