RE: TMPRO Extra 260 Profile Build,Setup,Fly
Looking forward to your build review and videos. Many of the 3D experts from the earlier 11 page thread will pipe in.
I made a trade this past weekend for this plane in the box. Maidened this morning using the Pro 46 as you plan. All went well except for the smaller tires and full open well pants on grass. I mounted the engine with the back of the thrust bearing even with the nose of fuse. This gave a cg of just under 4.5". I was surprised to find the furnished servo extensions even tho I didn't use the 3" leads for the Rx since I don't plan on taking the wings off. The only part of the supplied hardware I didn't use were the black clevises. There was no cross pin to go thru the control horn. Being more of a sport pilot, this plane flew as well if not better than my OMP Kat 46. I don't have the skill or interest in 3D styles of flight which doesn't let me compare how it does in low hover or others. Many of the expert 3D'ers trash a new plane since it doesn't meet their criteria or have a personal agenda with a distributor and this scares away the average pilot from a good profile plane.
