Default RE: Monokote

You can use fluid to sorta' stick any film on any other film.

Add a drop of liquid soap to water and basically float the trim where you want it to go. Carefully squeege out the water, holding the trim in place. It removes the air as it goes. And then you carefully iron down the trim on low heat.

A couple of buddies used to do it all the time with all the films. They used Windex too. Windex and MonoKote work the best because the alcohol tacks the MonoKote down and it's lots easier to work with the iron then. But they did awesome stuff with everything. They said you just had to adapt the technique to the film. They also put aliphatic glue into the water sometimes and said it worked something like the Windex/MonoKote. But I never tried that so can't say how to get it to work. I never had the patience nor the desire for intricate trim.

I simply use Ultracote for trim. Just iron it on carefully with low heat. Work slowly enough and bubbles are no problem. "adapt the technique to the film"
