You mean windex to clean it with??????? . keep in mind with monokote you have to have a real hot iron to work with it. You almost have to set it on fire in some cases

Sorry
I was refering to adhering trim.
I"m thinking the sticky monokote would siide and make it easer to posotion when wet with windex.
Just wondering if anybody tried it?
Matt

The function of Windex is to activate Monokote's iron-on adhesive without heat. You only use that when putting it on over film covering.
Iron on Monokote, not sticky back trim, can be adhered to film coverings using Windex to activate the adhesive, without bubbles. If you try to iron on Monokote over Monokote, the adhesive will gas, and create bubbles. Windex allows you to activate the adhesive without gassing. Squeegee it all out from under the Monokote, and it will adhere. Afterward, you can seal the very edges with a low heat trim iron, if you wish.
Good luck,

You can use fluid to sorta' stick any film on any other film.
Add a drop of liquid soap to water and basically float the trim where you want it to go. Carefully squeege out the water, holding the trim in place. It removes the air as it goes. And then you carefully iron down the trim on low heat.
A couple of buddies used to do it all the time with all the films. They used Windex too. Windex and MonoKote work the best because the alcohol tacks the MonoKote down and it's lots easier to work with the iron then. But they did awesome stuff with everything. They said you just had to adapt the technique to the film. They also put aliphatic glue into the water sometimes and said it worked something like the Windex/MonoKote. But I never tried that so can't say how to get it to work. I never had the patience nor the desire for intricate trim.
I simply use Ultracote for trim. Just iron it on carefully with low heat. Work slowly enough and bubbles are no problem. "adapt the technique to the film"
