Ken....I used what was good and replaced wood that I felt was unusable.....going to use aluminum cowls.....should not be an issue with drag.......spent alot of time with the fullscale "6"... there were 2 types of eng. cowls....the better of the two with "spinners" were good for about 20-25 knots in cruise......Bill.....
