DuBro or Slimline?
I have also thought about using the quick fuel valves as well and I am still contemplating about purchasing one. I have been turned off though by some for the simple reason that in time (however long that is) will develop dirt inside, or from just normal use not seat which in turn will make them not function as well or at all. They are a bit expensive, to keep replacing. I also agree with MinnFlyer, that once you lose the fuel probe your done. Those probes themselves are much more than just pennies a piece.
BUT...........if you find and purchase a FUEL VALVE COVER, you can then prevent the "FOD" from entering the valve. Nothing will prevent the normal wear and tear. Also if you were to safetywire the probe on you fuel line you have just prevented the loss of that probe by about 95%. (guess-ta-mation).
So you see, that I too am debating, but getting frustrated at the same time in trying to find that little "dust" cover for the valves. Have you found the covers? Hopefully this helps you.
