RE: ucando46 AILERON NEUTRAL POSITION???
DelGatorGrande,
I think I understand your wanting precision. I like that also. It ends up making your flying easier and more impressive. This is a fun fly plane and most will use it to stick bang. But I think it will also make a nice precision practice plane.
I just finished one and test flew it yesterday. Still have some trim flights to dial in the knife edge.
I placed one balsa stick on each side of the wing. I set up the ailerons where they cross. It was pretty close. Knife edge needed a 4% mix of rudder to up elevator and about 4% rudder to same aileron mix. The rudder to elevator mix is ok, but I need to make some changes to the rudder aileron mix. Its not quite where I want it and I have to hold aileron stick to keep knive edge from rolling out. I may change the aileron positions and take out the mix to see if it changes the roll tendancy.
I have CG set to almost 7 inches at the fuse. Its a bit tail heavy. but I like that.
Uplines seem ok. I will run through the rest of my trim flights later this week.
Let me know how yours works out and what sort of mixes you end up with.
