G3.5 seems to be by far the real winner so far in this poll with AFPD a clear second.

For my own sim interest the various physics of flying an airplane as close to the trainer/plane I am actually going to fly is important. All the other offline and online bells and whistles are not as important as take-off, landing, stalling, variable winds, maybe even air density issues, and crashing...er...crash avoidance realisms. Also, tracking close enough to the airplane to see what it is doing and how it is reacting in pattern work with some reference to the ground/runway is important too.
Cost is not a factor for me, nor is the Windows XP PC--it is already high-end for gaming with an EN8800GTX @1.8 GHz w/ 768 MB RAM graphics card.
1. Will the G3.5 allow uisng any other RC controller such as,
in particular, the Spekrum DX7? How important will this option be once I get my feet wet?
2. Will the G3.5 allow adjusting airplane CG and engine offset and other differences if so inclined?
My goal is to get a sim today that I won't be abandoning for something else like the AFPD in two months. If it is important to be able to use your actual RC controller with G3.5 and you can't do it unless it is Futaba that will really really disappoint me--unless this clearly isn't an issue for sims--and I don't know that?
Thank you.
