Alpha 40 is referring to the "plane caategory" and NOT the engines actual size. Evolution has NEVER claimed to make a .40 engine.

Also note that these are Evolution engines. Do not confuse them with Evo engines which are a different brand completely.

Also note the .45 and .46 have different strokes which means different crankshafts and most likely many other different components.
