OK learningtofly, i can answer #2 for you . Mode1 is a format of controls on the transmitter, where throttle and ailerons are onthe right stick, mode 2 has throttle on the left stick. Ihas nothing to do with performance of the controller or aircraft. MOst Americans fly mode 2 , here in AUstralia the popular mode is Mode1
