Guys I am brand new , I don’t know where to turn. You guys are my hobby shop. Please someone take me under their wing here!

First things first. I have a used OS CV-R .18. It is on a used GT2. This is my first nitro.

I am not sure which way the fly wheel should spin. Also the flywheel on the motor is very tough to spin with my finger, I can barley push it. Once it gets to a certain point, (piston high or low?), it spins pretty effortlessly. But I can’t spin it with my finger. The starter box with full batt can barely turn it and the connection finally melted. So my guess is it shouldn’t’ be this tough to turn over.

OK second, is there a manual way to see if fuel is getting to the carb. I don’t know how to prime it. I am not sure if fuel is even going into the carb.

Lets just start there for now!

I have a hot shot glow plug starter and the glow plug element looks fine. I am not sure if the glow plug is getting hot enough though. Not sure how to test that either.

Please help me out. I have a few hours every night to work on this thing.
