Default RE: What actually is RTR?

Temp Gauge 20.00 and up
Fuel 20.00 and up
Batteries (12) 15.00
Or your other option would be to buy 8 batteries for the remote, then purchance a hump pack for the reciever and a charger for it. Those two together will set you back around 70 bucks. But you will save lots of money from buying AA's all the time.

You will also want to buy some tools as you start working on the truck, your LHS (Local Hobby Shop) should have everything you need. However these tools can set you back. Beware of the cheap tools though, they will only give you problems.

So to be honest with you, to get it running spending another 100 bucks. But how much spend on Hop Ups and tools, thats up to you.

If you want to save yourself some money. Get some nice tools, and after every couple runs or so. Tear the truck all the way down. Clean it well, simple green and water. And when you are doing this you can inspect all the parts and see if something is trying to break, that way you can replace it before it ruins your day. I wont bother wasting space on how to wash the truck, I can explain that in another tread if you are interested.
