Default RE: Official redcat racing avalanche thread!!

ORIGINAL: Defmeq

Lets try to start posting all Avalanche questions and answers here like in the other official threads.

My latest problem is proving to be quite a pain. I think im not getting the engine lined up and mounted right. Each time i reset it and do the paper test it seems right and rolls freely. It starts out ok but after 5 or 10 minutes the motor dies and the wheels lock up and the clutch bell gear apears to be sticking, its not the bearing and when i take the motor loose the clutch bell always spins just fine. Also when i remove the motor the car will roll freely. this leads me to believe the problem is with the alignment of the clutch bell gear and whatever gear it connects to. Any ideas?

it could possibly be diff gears, front or rear, could be the bearings, they heat up and bind. I would try replacing the clutch bell bearings and see what happens.
