Yep
That's pretty much correct.
When I install them, I do the screw up into the hole but not completely tight - just snug
I then remove the servo and apply a drop of thin CA to each hole and let that fully dry. this hardens up the threads in the hole.
I then install the servo and tighten the screws to the correct tension.

I also use an unserviceable servo (which I have removed the wires from) as my drilling jig. That way I only install the actual servo once.
