Default Installing Servos

Is there any trick to installing servos?? I thought that I once heard that the servo should be installed and fastened with the provided screws. Then removed, a drop of thin ca applied to the hole and then re-installed. Is this correct?? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

jvino,

That's pretty much it. It's a no brainer.

Yep
That's pretty much correct.
When I install them, I do the screw up into the hole but not completely tight - just snug
I then remove the servo and apply a drop of thin CA to each hole and let that fully dry. this hardens up the threads in the hole.
I then install the servo and tighten the screws to the correct tension.

I also use an unserviceable servo (which I have removed the wires from) as my drilling jig. That way I only install the actual servo once.

Should a small pilot hole be drilled first??

Oops
I forgot to mention that.
Yes.
I drill a 1/16" (1.5mm) hole first
