I never have tried makeing it rear or front wheel drive only. I could be wrong but doesnt taking the engine off and seeing that it rolls perfectly fine eleminate the possibility that its anything besides where the engine gear hooks up? Also if you did make it front or rear drive whats the best way to do it? just pull out the dog bones?
