Goldberg Protege assembly
I hate to use the word build for something as simple as the Protege.
As I mentioned in a previous post, I bought one for a 'build' demonstration at a Symposium that I was part of yesterday.
I started working on the thing by hitting it with the iron for all wrinkles and bubbles that appeard on the covering. Then I started with the aileron servo installations (two of them, one per wing). But, as luck would have it, I was pretty busy with other things, such as the two RC simulators that were going full-tilt all day long! The kids really enjoyed the sims (I had Realflight G3.5 and the Aeroflight Pro running on two separate PC's. So, with questions, distractions, and parents asking how much they are and where to get them.. well, I had my hands full. We had a line to get into our 'booth' by the kids to 'play' with the sims. The second picture shows me in the background working on the Protege. That's Art Shoenrock, one of our club members, standing next to my 'work bench'.
So, bottom line.. I got both wings finished but that was all.
I will finish it up this weekend perhaps (if the weather turns to crap) no doubt.
DS.
