I just re-read the review. Yeah, for about the 8th time
. I just wanted to read it because I can now relate to exactly what MinnFlyer said. This is one nice flying aircraft.
For those of you that are interested in this plane, and are on the fence about power, well, I opted for the .75 AX solely because the local hobby shop did not have a .55 AX in stock, but did have a brand new .75 AX, and, from what I understood, the .55 was on back order. I wanted to fly the plane so I put the .75 on the front. With this setup, I did not require any.. nada, none.. nose weight to make the CG. I flew it about 10 flights since I finished it last week, and I used a lot less fuel than I thought I would. In fact, I set my timer on my DX7 for 11 minute flights, landed about a minute after the alarm beeped at me, and when I refueled, it never took more than a half tank of fuel. Sooo.. it is very economical to fly with the .75 as I imagine it is with the .55.
I won't make any recommendations here because I would as likely had the .55 on board if the LHS had one in stock, but as I said, opted for the .75. That was my choice and I don't regret it one bit. But, I would probably have felt the same way about the .55 so go for it. You will be very happy with how this plane flys.
And, again, great review, Mike!
